This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data are processed by Volkswagen AG, Berliner Ring 2, 38440 Wolfsburg, Germany, vw@volkswagen.de, listed in the register of companies of the District Court of Braunschweig under HRB 100484 (“Volkswagen AG”), when you use the mobile 360° Volkswagen App (hereinafter “app”).

B. General information

I. Anonymous data collection

You can use the services of this app without providing personal information. In this case, we do not collect, process or use any personal data.

II. Services without login

When you use the services in this app that do not require a login, your data are only stored locally on your mobile device. Details of any additional data that we process in order to provide services are contained in the section “Individual services not requiring a login” (see C below).

III. Services requiring a login

When using services that require a login, certain types of data are transferred to our data server, processed and – depending on the service – stored to your Volkswagen user account. Further details can be found in Section D.

IV. Sharing of data

Your personal data will not be passed on to any third party.

V. Payment services

No payment services are linked to the app. Payment transaction data are not processed.

VI. Geodata services

No geodata services are linked to the app. Geodata are not processed.

C. Services without login

The app’s public domain offers a stream of the latest news from the Volkswagen AG in the areas mobility and career. News can be viewed in German and English. Further more the app offers several services and information about career at Volkswagen.

D. Services requiring a login

The services that require a login are described in the Privacy Policy for the internal domain. This Privacy Policy can be viewed after the user logs in.

E. Tracking tools

No tracking tools are used.

F. Your rights

You may exercise the following rights vis-à-vis Volkswagen AG at any time without cost. You can obtain further information about exercising your rights under Section G.

Right of access: You have the right to obtain information from us about how we process your personal data.

Right to rectification: You have the right to demand from us the rectification of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data concerning yourself.

Right to erasure: You have the right to request the erasure of your data, provided the preconditions stated in Article 17 of the GDPR have been met. For example, you may obtain erasure of your data if they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. You may also obtain erasure if we process your data based on your consent and you withdraw that consent.

Right to restriction of processing: You have the right to demand restriction of the processing of your data if the conditions set out in Article 18 of the GDPR are met. That is the case, for example, if you dispute the accuracy of your data. You can then demand a restriction of the processing for the period it takes to verify the accuracy of the data.

Right to object: You have the right to object to the processing of your data if the processing is based on an overriding interest or your data are used for the purposes of direct marketing. An objection is permitted if processing is performed in either the public interest or for the exercise of public authority or if it is performed for a legitimate interest of Volkswagen AG or a third party. If you object to the processing of your data, please notify us of the grounds for your objection. You also have the right to object to data processing for the purposes of direct marketing. The same applies to profiling, insofar as it is related to direct marketing.

Right to data portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit those data to another data processor, provided that data processing is based on consent or contract fulfilment and that automated processing methods are used.

Right to withdraw consent: Where data processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to data processing, with future effect, free of charge at any time.

Right to lodge a complaint: You also have the right to lodge a complaint about our processing of your data with a supervisory authority (such as the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen [Data Protection Commissioner for the Federal State of Lower Saxony]).
